Personal Branding Session: Madison

When Madison first reached out for a branding session, she was excited to capture her brand and passion in professional photos she could use on social media and in marketing. After a chat on the phone, I was able to help Madison layout a plan for how to best capture images that represent her unique brand personality.

Clients want to know the person behind the brand. There is a reason why social media posts that feature personal stories and images always out perform other posts—even on a business page. People are drawn to people. In this session, we focused on what makes Madison unique— her joy and her carefree personality— while also featuring the product she is passionate about. From the outfits, to the locations, to her GORGEOUS HAIR (I mean, come on!), Madison’s personality was able to really shine!

A Few of My Favorite Things: 6 Sustainable Easter Basket Gifts for Kids

EasterBasket.jpg

With Easter only a few weeks away (and hopefully with it some much warmer weather!), I wanted to share a few of my favorite ethical and sustainable ideas for your kids! It’s sometimes hard to find the balance between things kids will love and trying to shop responsibly. Hopefully, this blog can be a starting place for you.

For this round-up, I’m bringing back some of my absolute favorite brands to shop and introducing a few brands I have newly discovered!

1. Ten Thousand Villages

I had to start with one of my favorite organizations. I also partnered with them on my Fair Trade Winter Styled Shoot back in 2019. Ten Thousand Villages is a non-profit organization that markets handcrafted products made by more than 120 artisan groups in 35 countries. Every purchase is making an impact in the lives of people around the world.

For the ethical easter baskets, I used their Bright Bits Jute Basket, which made for a perfect Easter Basket! I also included their sloth and Beauty sleep velvet masks and their hand puppets. This has been a year of sibling sleep overs and these masks are the perfect gift to help make those sleep overs even more fun. And while you’re at it, a flashlight sock puppet show!

2. Little Piglet Co.

Little Piglet Co. is a new discovery for me and I am obsessed! This little shop hand-sews 100% organic clothes for kids sizes newborn to 5t. It is incredibly hard to find sustainable, ethically-made kids clothing and Little Piglet checks all the boxes. All the fabric is milled and dyed in the US and clothing is handmade in Virginia. This is the answer to organic, non-toxic, low waste clothing, all while supporting a small, female-owned business.

I love the versatility and style of all their clothing and this outfit for my daughter is perfect for the warmer months ahead.

3. Rock Blocks

Rock Blocks is a Utah-based all natural toy company that specializes in stackable blocks, shaped like rocks. They also come in fun and vibrant colors and use non-toxic acrylic paints to give exquisite color and eggshell finish to the building blocks.

They recently released their Stacks— a creative alternative to dominoes and building. As my son is getting older, I am always looking for something other than Legos to get for him. These were the perfect solution.

4. Brainstorm Puzzle Co.

Brainstorm Puzzle Co. is. a New England based company that creates stunning puzzles from the original artwork of the founding couple, Brianna and Jason, who are also illustrators, artists, and all around amazing creatives. The first puzzle they designed in 2017 was inspired by the U.S. National Parks and the theme of the great outdoors is found in each and every design.

I loved the connection to New England, the great outdoors, and original art. This is the perfect gift for an older child or adult!

5. Imani Collective

Imani Collective started in a small village outside of Mombasa, Kenya. Now with over 100 artisans on staff, Imani Collective creates home goods for the modern mama, all made by these amazing women artisans in Kenya.

There signs are inspiring and perfect for any kids room. And with this company, you are shopping with purpose as every purchase empowers another human across the globe.

September Field Session- Family of 5 - Londonderry, New Hampshire

September golden hour is one of my favorite times all year. The weather is perfect and the sky is absolutely gorgeous. Mack’s Apples is always a hit with small children and this family of 5 walked through the orchards and explored the fields surrounding the orchards. The kids were all smiles!

Here are some of my favorites from this September evening!
